Attorney Kris Torres knows exactly what it feels like when tragedy turns your life upside down.  At the age of 17, Kris was in a terrible car accident that put him in a coma for a week -- A speeding car ran a red light, crashing full-speed into the passenger door where Kris was sitting.  He suffered severe head lacerations requiring over 60-stitches and causing brain swelling that rendered him comatose.  Kris gingerly opened his eyes after a week, and that's when the tough work began.  Months of therapy ensued (physical, mental and occupational) just to get Kris back to baseline.  With the help of his doctors, family and his faith, Kris was soon able to walk again.  After months, he could run.  Eventually, Kris was able to regain his spot as third baseman for the Varsity baseball team and graduate in the top 5% of his class.

Kris went on to attend the University of Florida, where he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English Language/Literature and an M.Ed. in Secondary English Education.  Kris then spent 4 years teaching 12th grade British Literature and coaching the boy's Varsity baseball team at Boynton Beach High School before pursuing his dream of becoming a lawyer.

With the encouragement of his former students, Kris got his Juris Doctorate from Florida International College of Law and has been a plaintiff's personal injury lawyer since 2011. Kris is licensed to practice law throughout the state of Florida and in federal court in the Southern and Middle districts of Florida.

Kris is a member of the Palm Beach County Justice Association, the Stuart Chamber of Commerce, and is the president of the Professional Referral Network.
